The society expects the reload of the Government and the Parliamentary Coalition to entail the establishment of responsible authorities, which will show effective work and good communication with the citizens.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman told this to the Ukraina TV channel on Sunday.
"It is the moment of truth. Today the situation in the country is quite complicated and any protraction of the authorities' reload would be unacceptable," Groysman said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that Ukraine's major problems since the first day of its independence have been populism of the politicians and corruption. "The two things that brought the country to this dead end over the 24 years of its independence were: ugly populism and corruption, which has penetrated every single field of life," Groysman said. He added that the policy of no populism and real fight against corruption have to become a fundamental for the unification of the Coalition and establishment of new government.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that effective coalition agreement was good from the very beginning and the only question it raised was its close implementation. "There are two parts: the plans the coalition agreement actually envisions and the implementation of those plans. We have the problem: the authorities do not keep their words. If you take responsibility — please do adhere to it. If you do not want to do so — sign the statement and go away," he noted.
The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament expressed confidence that if a good Government is established and in case of assistance of the Coalition in the implementation of real reforms aimed at the European integration and macro-financial stability, "in a year of work of such Government, Ukraine will be able to ensure economic growth and depth of all reforms it currently needs."
"Tax and customs sectors, anticorruption and judicial sectors are all the tasks that can be easily implemented, however, it needs our unification," Groysman said.
At the same time, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that the reload of the authorities must not be based on the issue of seats, but on the responsibility of the politicians and a clear Action Plan.
