During his working stay in Canada First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii met with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Minister of National Defense of Canada Harjit Singh Sajjan, Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition Rona Ambrose and delegates of the Conservative Party of Canada. Besides, in Toronto, Parubii had a meeting with the Ukrainian Diaspora, presented a lecture at the university and took part in an expert roundtable dedicated to foreign affairs.

In the course of the meeting with Parubii, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau confirmed strong Ottawa's intention to further support Kyiv. "At the meeting, Mr. Trudeau assured us of Canada's support for Ukraine," Parubii said.

He also said that representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora considered it important to know "what is really happening in Ukraine: about corruption, war and all other things."

Parubii also noted that he had several meetings with a large number of newly elected deputies. "The deputies were informed about the events in Ukraine," Parubii said adding that he met with members of two major parties of the federal parliament.

"We met both conservatives and liberals to regulate our relations and get sure that all Canada's current support programs on Ukraine, in particular, training of the servicemen and policemen were going to be preserved," Parubii said.

Besides, Parubii took part in the meeting dedicated to commemoration of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in front of the Canada's Parliament.
