Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice hosts roundtable entitled "Problems of legal aid system introduction in Ukraine"

The participants in the roundtable discussed the first results of the introduction of the legal aid institution in Ukraine, challenges of nowadays, as well as prospects of improvement of legal aid.

The event was coordinated by chairperson of the Subcommittee on Activity of Justice Bodies and Implementation of Court Rulings I.Alekseyev.

The participants in the roundtable were people's deputies of Ukraine, representatives of bodies of state power, non-governmental organizations, associations, scientists and experts engaged in the field of legal aid.

The roundtable participants exchanged ideas as to expediency of expansion of the circle of persons having right to secondary legal aid, determination of criteria for receipt of secondary legal aid by them, as well as peculiarities of provision of such aid.
