Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a basis draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to implementation of recommendations envisioned by 6th report of the European Commission on status of implementation of Visa Liberalisation Action Plan by Ukraine touching improvement of principles of activity of National Agency for the Recovery of the Proceeds of Corruption)

The draft law No. offers to amend the Law of Ukraine "On National Agency for the Recovery of the Proceeds of Corruption," which envision authorization of the national agency not only to preserve the arrested assets, but also to possess, use and/or administer such assets, inter alia the right to sell, technologically transform or/and run such assets confiscated within criminal proceedings.

Besides, the draft law envisions legislating the sizes of salary attached to the position for employees of the national agency, which will be additional guarantee of their independence.

The document was approved taking in account the remarks introduced during the consideration.
