In particular, the draft law No. 2140a offers to amend Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On state awards of Ukraine" to classify volunteers as persons having right to the state award "Registered firearm" to "stimulate volunteer activity."
The chairperson of the subcommittee for administrative services, state symbols and awards O.Dekhtiarchuk informed the Committee members that:
- the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs ruled that the draft law will demand annual state budget expenditures and will take effect in terms determined by the authors of the legislative act;
- the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction ruled that the draft law does not contain any corruptogenic factors and it is in line with the anticorruption legislation;
- the Defense Ministry of Ukraine supports the draft law less any remarks.
