Chairperson of the Committee Viktor Halasiuk said this after a regular meeting. He added that the Committee was ready to submit the document for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada. According to Halasiuk, the recommendations have become a result of the examination and generalization of entrepreneurs, business-associations, non-government organizations, etc.
As earlier reported, the parliamentary hearings entitled "Development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine and support to small and mid-sized business" took place in the walls of the Ukrainian legislature on September 30, 2015 upon the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship. Before such hearings took place at the Verkhovna Rada over 12 years ago.
Apart from the aforementioned, over the period of the third session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of VIII convocation (September 2015 - January 2016), the Committee was engaged in organization and held a number of public events, such as:
roundtable entitled "Modernization of transport infrastructure: new dialogue between business and Ukrzaliznytsia," organized along with the BIZNES [BUSINESS] weekly;
economic forum entitled "What reforms will become the fundamental of Ukrainian economic miracle?" conducted along with the Reanimation Package of Reforms;
roundtable entitled "Strategy of economic development of Ukraine based on international experience" with the participation of development economics and economic history specialist Erik Reinert;
roundtable entitled "New horizons for Ukraine's development: innovations and digital economy" with the participation of Stanford University professor Burton Lee;
roundtable entitled "State policy to support Ukrainian businesses, whose assets were lost in Crimea and in the east of Ukraine: what does business want and what can the Government do;"
roundtable entitled "State support within the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU" (within the framework of the Rada for Europe project);
roundtable entitled "Draft new wording of the Law of Ukraine on state support to small and mid-sized business in Ukraine: new approaches, challenges and opportunities;"
roundtable entitled "Discussion of draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to elimination of barriers in attraction of foreign investments).
The leadership and the Committee members took part in a number of international conferences and forums.
In September 2015 - January 2016, the Committee had seven meetings, where it eyed 38 draft laws. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted seven laws elaborated by the Committee:
draft law on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (as to lifting of regulatory barriers for development of state-private partnership in Ukraine and stimulation of investments) No. 1058;
draft law on amendments to Law of Ukraine "On state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs" No. 1475;
draft law on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (as to lifting of regulatory barriers for development of network of industrial parks in Ukraine) No. 2844;
draft law on amendments to Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On standardization and certification" No. 3168;
draft law on amendments to some Laws of Ukraine (as to peculiarities of state registration of local self-government bodies as legal entities) No. 3106;
draft law on amendments to Law of Ukraine "On state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs" No. 2493;
draft law on state registration of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and civil formations No. 2983.
The Committee continues implementing the model of industrial policy adopted in 2015.
