The event took place within the framework of the preparation for parliamentary hearings entitled "30 years after Chornobyl: lessons and prospects," which is scheduled for March 16, 2016.

The February 8 meeting participants eyed the preparation for the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl NPP disaster and considered the proposals touching proper organization of the anniversary commemoration and parliamentary hearings.

The participants in the parliamentary hearings will be representatives of central executive bodies, regional and a number of city state administrations and councils, scientific institutions, higher education establishments, non-government Chornobyl organizations.
