During the meeting, people’s deputies discussed certain issues of the implementation of legislation concerning introduction of the system of electronic declarations as a new tool of financial control of civil servants.
At the meeting on January 14 present were First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Budget Amelchenko V.V.; Sector Manager of the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Maria Stogova; expert on anti-corruption issues Kotliar D., head of the project "Transparency and Integrity" of the public sector of the UN Development Programme Ivan Presniakov, representatives of anti-corruption NGOs.
Chairperson of the Committee Sobolev Ye.V. said when opening the meeting that "it will be very good if the Committee will examine not only the problem, which was formed during the vote on the budget, but all the tasks that we as a parliamentary committee, have to control this year."
Following the preliminary discussion, the Committee supported adoption of the draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" (concerning the electronic system for submitting and making public declarations of persons authorized to perform functions of the State or local self-government) No.3755 provided the approval of the final decision on this issue at the Committee meeting on January 26 of this year.
