Today, the Committee held a working meeting touching the preparation for parliamentary hearings on the status of protection of internally displaced persons and citizens of Ukraine living on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities in the antiterrorist operation zone.
The meeting participants were people's deputies, representatives of Ukrainian and international non-government organizations.
Chairperson of the Committee Hryhorii Nemyria noted the importance of regulatory-legal and institutional elements of the hearings and of the issues touching the cooperation with international and Ukrainian non-government organizations.
A representative of the Right to Protection organization Olena Vynohradova offered to discuss a set of draft laws required for implementation of the state program on adaptation of internally displaced persons during the parliamentary hearings.
Besides, representative of the Norwegian Refugee Council Yuliya Tralo offered to discuss problems of people, who suffered aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the ones not belonging to the following categories: internally displaced persons, citizens of Ukraine living on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities in the antiterrorist operation zone.
It was decided to establish workgroups to prepare for the parliamentary hearings.
