Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis and in principle draft law "On amendments to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes of Ukraine regarding perfecting of procedure of making amendments"

The draft law No. 3542 offers to improve the procedure of making amendments in the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes.

The draft law in particular proposes to supplement with new sections Article 3 of the Criminal Code and Article 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, directed at streamlining the procedure of making amendments to these legislative acts, namely it proposes to specify that amendments to these legislative acts are made exclusively by the laws on making amendments to the Criminal or Criminal Procedure Codes of Ukraine.

The Committee members believe that making amendments to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes will enable exceptionally the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement to lead in the preparation and revision of draft laws having relation to amending these acts.
