In 2015, the Secretariat received 1,639 requests for public information (771 through the Internet, 600 by e-mail, 112 by post, 61 by special delivery, 48 by phone, 41 by courier mail, 4 at personal meetings, 2 by fax), in which 3,758 issues were raised. Of them
- 1,309 requests fulfilled;
- 187 requesters were refused in fulfilling their request pursuant to Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On access to public information;"
- 129 requests were transferred to appropriate distributors of information, of which the requesters were notified;
- 16 requests were fulfilled as appeals pursuant to the Law of Ukraine "On Public Appeals."
Most requests were directed to the Personnel Office (285), the Information Office (193), the Administrative Office (162), the Central Documents Provision Office (107), and the Computer Systems Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat (54), and also to secretariats of the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice (112), the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy (69), the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement, the Committee on Science and Education, the Committee on National Security and Defense (50 to each), the Committee on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government (49).
Most times citizens of Ukraine asked to provide copies of declarations on property, incomes, expenditures and financial obligations for 2014 of people's deputies of Ukraine and employees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat, lists of staff assistants to people's deputies of Ukraine of I-VIII convocations, copies of minutes of meetings of the Verkhovna Rada Committees, information about leaves of people's deputies of Ukraine in 2015 and copies of documents proving their being on leave, financial statements of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat, findings of the Central Judicial Office and the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat regarding certain draft laws.
In addition, requesters asked to provide the text of the adopted Law on State Budget of Ukraine for 2016, information on visiting by citizens of open plenary sessions of the Parliament, copies of separate articles of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Code of Ukraine; they were interested in the volume of funds allocated in 2015 from the State Budget for business trips of people's deputies of Ukraine.
