At the Committee meeting on December 25 they considered the situation in two social insurance funds – for temporary disability and for accidents at work and occupational diseases.
Chairperson of the Committee Liudmyla Denisova informed about the distribution by the executive directorate of the under-liquidation Fund of Social Insurance for Temporary Disability, of non-existent yet budget of the Fund for 2016 and holding of bidding trades.
"The Fund has prepared a draft budget for 2016, in which they have planned expenditures in the amount of UAH 312 million on the rehabilitation treatment of insured persons. At the same time, having calculated the revenues and expenditures for 2016, the Fund announced a bidding, the disclosure of which will take place on January19. This is the official information of the bulletin of public procurement s," said Liudmyla Denisova.
In addition, she said that there already was information about possible distribution of these funds for trade union sanatoriums: "That is, there are already the results of the tender, which is yet to take place next year."
The Committee Chairperson also said that funds’ liquidation commissions decided to continue working for another six months and spend money. "This is impossible. It is costs of the insured persons and employers, but someone thinks that it's their own money and they will spend them on their discretion," she said.
Liudmyla Denisova said that on behalf of the Committee she had already appealed to the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine. "The State Treasury has been also notified. I want to emphasize that not a kopeck will be spent on any expenditures they are planning today for themselves," said Liudmyla Denisova.
The Committee Chairperson also said that there are problems in the social insurance fund against accidents at work and occupational diseases. "They call me from regions and inform that the backdated decisions are being taken by the commissions that are not supposed to work long ago, on preventive measures. Such actions - this is the work of the prosecutor's office, after which these individuals could face prison," said Liudmyla Denisova and added that the law enforcement agencies are dealing with all documents available at the committee, and they will give an appropriate assessment to the actions of these officials.
