The draft law (No.3097) proposes to prolong determined by the Law of Ukraine "On measures directed at ensuring stable functioning of enterprises of the fuel and energy complex" the procedure for repayment of the debt for SE NNEGC Energoatom to January 1, 2017 instead of January 1, 2016, as envisaged by the current norm of the said law for the SE NNEGC Energoatom.
The Committee members took into consideration that the sources of financing for settlements on the debts of the Company are absent, and taking into account the fact that energy resources are supplied without the use of advance payments, SE NNEGC Energoatom has no possibility to solve the problem independently without creation of special conditions by the State.
It was also noted that the adoption of the draft law will be a preventive mechanism concerning avoidance of downgrading Ukraine’s ratings and creation of cross-default cases on international borrowings of the State and public enterprises.
