Today in the capital of Belgium was held a conference - roundtable on the topic "Prospects and challenges of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the EU entering into force from January 1, 2016."
Presenting the standing of the Ukrainian side, Viktor Halasiuk told about the needs of our country and pointed to the necessity to determine corresponding priorities. According to the Chairperson of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, Ukraine should carry out a comprehensive radical reboot instead of tenuous cosmetic reforms.
The MP underlined that it is possible to achieve economic growth by applying a number of internationally recognized instruments that are used in European countries and should be implemented in Ukraine together with institutional reforms. Among them is the creation of export-credit agency, state development bank, agency for supporting small and medium businesses, industrial parks and public-private partnerships.
Giving proper respect to the international support, V. Halasiuk said: "We are grateful for the recommendations and financial and technical assistance that we receive from the international community. However, we should change the palliative model of financial support for targeted development support."
