Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on increasing access of blind, visually impaired people and people with dyslexia to books published in special format"

The Law stipulates the legal regulations that will facilitate broadening of the access of the blind to books published in a special digital format, replenishment of library funds, including with documents with the relief-dot font for the blind, adaptation of libraries to the use of their services by people with special needs, promotion of domestic book publishing, establishment and functioning of electronic libraries.

Corresponding amendments were made to the laws of Ukraine "On copyright and related rights," "On libraries and librarianship," "On the distribution of audiovisual works, phonograms, computer programs and databases," "On copyright deposit of documents" and "On publishing."

Respective draft law was registered under No. 2368а.
