The opening speech was delivered by GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili. The meeting participants approved the agenda, following the discussion of which the committee members approved the draft Resolution on trade and economic issues in the interparliamentary interaction of the GUAM PA Member States, to be approved at the next regular meeting.
The Committee recommends holding parliamentary hearings in the GUAM Member States on trade and economic cooperation. The Committee also decided on the informing by national parliaments of the GUAM Member States on changes in national legislation.
The Committees expressed their gratitude to the Presidency of Ukraine and GUAM Secretariat for organizing the meeting at a high level.
Place and dates of the next meeting of the Committee will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels out of the three possible: holding of the meeting of the Committee on the eve of the regular session of GUAM PA; in the country heading the Committee; and in the Secretariat of GUAM.
