At a meeting on December 9, 2015, the Committee examined the draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Corruption Prevention" (as to clear definition of the scope of persons falling under the term "officers") (Registration No. 2525) and an alternative draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Corruption Prevention" (as to clear definition of the scope of persons falling under the term "officers") (Registration No. 2525-1).
The Committee declared that the proposed by the draft laws clarifications would significantly limit the scope of persons covered by the Law of Ukraine "On Corruption Prevention." That is why the Committee recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reject the draft law following the consideration in the first reading.
The Committee examined 79 draft laws for their compliance with anti-corruption legislation. Twenty of them were declared as containing corruptogenic factors and not meeting the requirements of the anti-corruption legislation.
