The draft law proposes to expand the list of incentives that may be applied to convicted persons.
The draft law proposes to introduce transparency in the use of incentives to convicts and streamline this procedure; clearly define the grounds for imposing sanctions and the process of revision of cases of violations by convicts of the established order of serving of their sentence and create additional guarantees for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of convicts, particularly by obtaining the necessary legal assistance.
Relevant amendments are to be made to Articles 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, and 135 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The draft law also proposes to supplement the Code with new Articles 131-1, 131-2, introducing a normative definition of the disciplinary offense and to specify grounds for releasing convicts from disciplinary responsibility.
