Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts Law "On Amendments to Decree of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Standardization and Certification"

The law makes amendments to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Standardization and Certification," clarifying its scope, and determining that certification of foodstuffs, services and management systems in the state system of certification is voluntary. Adoption of the law simplifies access of domestic products to the markets of CIS and worldwide; exercises the right of producer and consumer to obtain reliable information on a foodstuff; improves competitiveness of Ukrainian products.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 3168.
