The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Recommendations of the parliamentary hearings entitled "Family policy in Ukraine — objectives and tasks."
The Resolution recommends that:
- the President of Ukraine declare Father's Day in Ukraine to be celebrated annually;
- the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine speed up consideration and adoption of the following draft laws:
a) on amendments to some Laws of Ukraine touching enhancement of social protection of children and support of families with children (No. 2254);
b) on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine touching provision of social services (No. 2245);
c) on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine touching organization of recreation of children, preservation of the network of children resorts (No. 2917);
d) on amendments to Tax Code of Ukraine touching stable development of physical training and sports (No. 2068);
- the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine speed up settlement of issues in the field of improvement of the regulatory and legal framework: elaborate and submit for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada the following draft laws:
a) on general principles of state family policy;
b) on amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts of Ukraine touching child's right to state defender;
c) on amendments to some Laws of Ukraine touching support of talented children and youth;
