During the meeting on November 23 members of the Committee together with representatives of ministries and agencies, trade unions and employers considered 18 draft laws.
People's deputies recommend the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis draft Law "On amendments to Law of Ukraine 'On status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection' regarding reinstatement of proper level of social provision" No.3150-1.
The draft law suggests not taking into consideration incomes of family members during provision of militaries with benefits regarding payment for housing, utility services, free medications, free prosthesis. These amendments will also address family members of those who died during military servie, participation in the anti-terrorist operation, including volunteers.
People's deputies also recommend that the Parliament adopt as a basis the draft law "On amendments to Article 7 of Law of Ukraine 'On social services' (regarding bringing in compliance with provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine" No. 2428a.
The amendments suggest granting from January 1, 2016, unemployed persons who permanently provide social services to disabled people of the first group, disabled children, seriously ill patients (other than those who receive care from social services) monthly compensations in the size of living wage for able-bodied person.
People's deputies sent for finalization five draft laws No. 2533а, 2397, 2326а, 2377, 2197а to subjects of legislative initiative. The draft laws either go in conflict with norms of the effective legislation or do not contain provisions regarding sources of covering expenses of the state budget.
Following the consideration of the draft law "On withdrawal of May 2 - the Day of International Solidarity of Workers - from the list of holiday days" No. 2344 the Committee members did not support any of suggested decisions and recommended people's deputies decide the issue through voting at a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada.
