The document introduces the status of the Agency:
1. The National Agency For Proceeds Of Corruption (thereinafter National Agency) is a central body of the executives with a special status providing formation and realization of the State policy in the field of detection and search of assets that can be subject to arrest in criminal proceedings and/or management of assets that are under arrest or confiscated in criminal proceedings.
2. Within the frames defined by this and other laws National Agency is accountable to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and is subordinated to and responsible before the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
3. National Agency shall be established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine, this law and other laws of Ukraine.
Questions of activities of National Agency are repsented in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by chairperson of National Agency.
4. Legal grounds for activities of National Agency include the Constitution of Ukraine, international agreements approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, this and other laws of Ukraine, and other regulatory legal acts adopted in compliance with them.
5. The Law of Ukraine "On Central Bodies of the Executives", other laws regulating bodies of the executives, and the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service" are applied to National Agency and its employees in parts that do not conflict with this Law.
6. National Agency comprises the central stuff and territorial offices.
7. National Agency is a legal entity of public rights.
The Law has been adopted with some technical corrections.
