Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Adopts Law "On Amendments to Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine Regarding Certain Issues of Application of Arrest on Property with Aim of Removal of Corruption Risks During Its Application"

The legislative act perfects provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine regarding application and grounds for arrest of property, recovery of damages caused by illegal actions of a suspect, accused person and making impossible misuse of legal mechanisms to avoid confiscation of property, special confiscation or recovery of damage, including in case of satisfaction of a civil lawsuit, provision of application of measures of criminal law against a legal entity, and enhancement of efficiency of special pre-trial investigation.

Respective amendments have been introduced to articles 170-173, 236, 2971 of the Criminal Prosedure Code.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 2540а.
