Article 21 of the Code of Laws on Labor of Ukraine now bans any discrimination in the field of labor. In particular: breach the principle of equality of rights and opportunities, direct or indirect restriction of rights of employees based on race, skin color, political, religious and other beliefs, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnic, social and foreign origin, age, health, disability, suspicion of having or having diagnose of HIV/AIDS, family and property status, family responsibilities, place of residence, membership of trade unions or other associations of citizens, participation in a strike, treatment or intention of going to court or other authorities to protect own rights and to provide support to other employees to protect their rights, linguistic or other grounds not related to the nature of the work or the conditions of its execution.
