Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has called on deputies to work fruitfully to adopt top-priority draft laws.

"The discussion of important issues is not enough as we also have to act taking responsible decisions," Groysman said opening the meeting of the Conciliatory Council on Monday.

Groysman said that current plenary week was very important. In particular, he reminded that last week, the voting for the set of draft laws touching the implementation of the EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan for Ukraine was transferred for November 10. Besides, the people's deputies will be offered draft laws on decrease of gas rents, prolongation of the moratorium on sale of farmland, and on calling elections in Mariupol.

Groysman noted that on Friday, he urged relevant committees to immediately conduct meetings and prepare all the draft laws touching the visa-free regime for second reading.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also said that on November 10, the deputies would have to consider the draft law on the development of the sector of education — on scientific and technological activities.

Groysman said that on Thursday, the deputies would consider about 40 draft laws related to economic development and deregulation. "I hope that we will work, show good results. We have to do that as the development of our economy is one of the most important things and a great challenge for us," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
