The draft law No. 3159 offers to amend the Administrative Offences Code of Ukraine, Administrative Procedure Code of Ukraine, as well as the Laws of Ukraine "On legal aid" and "On legal status of foreigners and stateless persons."
In compliance with the offered amendments:
1) Article 259 of the Administrative Offences Code of Ukraine is supplemented with new Section allowing to deliver foreigners or stateless persons to respective state bodies to certify the identity of offenders and clarify the circumstances of respective offence;
2) Administrative Procedure Code of Ukraine is supplemented with Article 183-7 "Peculiarities of procedures in cases upon detention of foreigners and stateless persons subjected to extradition."
3) The list of persons having right to secondary legal aid is expanded;
4) The notion of "site for temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons illegally residing in Ukraine" is enshrined in the Law of Ukraine "On legal status of foreigners and stateless persons;" specified the legal status of foreigners and stateless persons release from a site for temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons illegally residing in Ukraine as well as grounds to provide them with certificate on temporary residence; term of stay of foreigners and stateless persons at the sites for temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons illegally residing in Ukraine up to 18 months.
