Opening the event, Deputy Chairperson of
the Committee Serhii Alekseev, noted the importance of holding of the reform of
advocateship in Ukraine in compliance with the decree of the President of
Ukraine entitled "Strategy of reformation of judicial system and allied
legal institutions for 2015-2020."

According to him of the major issues are the guarantees of legal profession (to turn an attorney in the judicial process from a formal figure into the person, who represents interests of the citizens).
The roundtable participants discussed the issue of mechanisms of implementing Ukraine's advocateship reformation the frames of the "Strategy of reformation of judicial system and allied legal institutions for 2015-2020."
The participants of the events were people's deputies, representatives of state bodies, international and Ukrainian experts, and representatives of non-government associations.
