According to the Secretariat of the Committee, the Committee has received a total of 67 candidates' applications for the posts of the Counting Chamber members.
In compliance with the Committee decision dated September 2, 2015, the information about candidates taking part in the tender has been posted on the official websites of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs. The said information will be retained on the official websites on the said bodies until the end of the process of employment of new Counting Chamber members.
Besides taking an account the requirements of Item 7, Section 2 of Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine and in compliance with the decision of the Committee dated September 2, 2015, the documents of the candidates have been sent for special examination envisioned by the law on combating corruption.
After reception of respective results, the Committee will consider documents submitted by the candidates for the posts of members of the Counting Chamber and then prepare and submit its decision with conclusions on each candidate for the post of a member of the Counting Chamber for consideration of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Reference information: On July 2, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Law of Ukraine "On Counting Chamber." In compliance with Item 3 of Chapter VIII "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law, the Ukrainian Parliament appoints new members of the Counting Chamber in the order set by the Law within two months from the date of enactment of the Law.
In compliance with the decision of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs dated July 15, 2015, The announcement about conditions and terms of the tender for the occupation of the said posts was published in the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper No. 45 dated August 8, 2015 (along with the publishing of the law) and was posted on the official websites of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Committee. The deadline published in the announcement was August 25.
At the same time following the address of people's deputies of Ukraine on prolongation of terms of submission of documents by the candidates, on September 2, 2015, the Committee decided to prolong the term of acceptance of the documents until September 10, 2015 inclusive (respective announcement was published in the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper No. 162 dated September 3, 2015 and was also posted on the said websites).
