Verkhovna Rada adopts Law "On approval of Amendments to Articles 25 and 26 of the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes"

The Law enshrines the Amendments to Articles 25 and 26 of the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes, approved at the meeting of the Convention Parties in Madrid (Spain) on November 28, 2003. The Amendments take effect for Ukraine on the 90th day after depositing of the document on their adoption.

The adoption of the Law facilitates deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and UN regional bodies, as well as it invalidates joining the Convention by the UN member countries from outside the region of UN Economic Commission for Europe.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 0062.
