Verkhovna Rada adopts Law "On Ukraine's joining International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property"

In particular, the law settles the issue of joining the Center under conditions set by the Statute of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). The membership of the ICCROM takes effect in 30 days after director general of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) receives official request from Ukraine to join the ICCROM.

Ukraine's membership of the ICCROM will facilitate combining efforts of the Parties as to preservation and restoration of cultural property on the global scale via initiating, development, assistance and support of conditions for such preservation and restoration.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 0061.
