The Law supplements Item 24 of Chapter VI "Final and transitional provisions" of the Budget Code of Ukraine with new Sub-Item envisioning "that funds of respective local budgets accounted by the State Treasury Service, can be channeled for special funds of regional budgets of respective Donetsk and Luhansk regions in compliance with decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government-set order until return of the territories under control of the Ukrainian authorities."
The Sub-Item also specifies that the said funds can be channeled for the restoration of ruined social and transport infrastructure, housing estate and engineering systems on the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as for the needs of socioeconomic development of the said regions.
