Participants of the meeting discussed the ways to speed up the creation of the national natural parks.

Besides, civil society representatives expressed concerns over possible environmental consequences of the planned expansion of poultry breeding facilities of the PrJSC Mironivsky Hliboproduct in Cherkasy district.

Participants of the meeting were its initiators — members of the workgroup for creation of parks.

At the end of the meeting, Mykola Tomenko said he would initiate an offsite meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, Nature Resources Utilization and Elimination of the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe dedicated to the discussed issues in the town of Kaniv (Cherkasy region) in November 2015.
