Chairperson of the Committee Serhii Rybalka several times raised the question of compensations to depositors of insolvent banks during conciliatory councils and asked Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman to ensure high-priority consideration of respective legislative initiatives. "At present there are 12 draft laws already considered by the Committee members however, not eyed at the session hall," he said.
He noted that some of these draft laws are important and required to stabilize the banking sector.
According to the Chairperson of the Committee, the leadership of the Ukrainian Parliament have not heard the proposals to put these draft laws among the first ones on the agenda.
At the end of the meeting, Committee members approved the decision to address Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman to speed up the consideration of the draft law on depositors rights guarantees.
