Verkhovna Rada Committee on Combating Corruption holds roundtable entitled "Financing of parties from state budget. Finalization"

According to the Secretariat of the Committee, participants of the roundtable presented positive assessment of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), OSCE/ODIHR and the Council of Europe to the draft law No. 2123a on introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine on combating political corruption.

People's deputy and chairperson of the workgroup for elaboration of the draft law Serhii Leschenko thanked European experts for the rapid provision of required conclusions.

Reference information: the draft law "On introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to combating political corruption) was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in first reading on July 16, 2015. It now should be considered in second reading during current session of the Ukrainian Parliament. The adoption of the draft law is also one of the requirements to fulfill the Visa Liberalisation Action Plan by Ukraine.
