Members of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations meet with UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Christophe Heinz

On September 10, Chairperson of the Committee Hryhorii Nemyria and Committee member Refat Chubarov met with UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Christophe Heinz.

The Parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, in particular, the combat activities in the east of out country and the problems of internally displaced persons.

The Parties also discussed the situation with the Ukrainian citizens illegally held in custody in the Russian Federation: Ukrainian officer and Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadiya Savchenko, film director Oleh Sentsov and others, and the necessity for interference of the world community in their immediate release.
