Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support to Enforcement recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt draft law "On prevention from impact of corruption crimes on results of official sport events" as a basis

The draft law No. 2243a offers to determine major principles, measures of prevention and revelation of offences linked to corruption in the field of sport.

It also offers to introduce criminal responsibility for commission of such offences.

To that end, it is offered to introduce amendments into the Administrative Offences Code of Ukraine and the Penal Code of Ukraine.

According to the Secretariat of the Committee, having analyzed the provisions of the draft law, the members of the Committee noted that its approval would facilitate reduction in the corruption rate in sport sector, which would first of all make all the competitions fair.
