Members of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations discuss problems of IDPs with representatives of Council of Europe

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations Hryhorii Nemyria and members of the Committee Mustafa Dzhemiliov and Refat Chubarov had a meeting with Senior Advisor to the Migration Directorate of Human Rights of the Council of Europe Lilja Gretarsdottir and Advisor to the Special Representative of the Secretary General in Ukraine Antonina Vyhrest.

The Parties discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Action Plan under the new Council of Europe project “Strengthened Protection for Forcibly Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine,“ that is to be implemented in 2015-2017.

Besides, Hryhorii Nemyria informed that the last meeting of the Committee passed a proposal of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government to jointly prepare and hold the parliamentary hearings entitled "On principles of state policy as to temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol."
