President Petro Poroshenko, Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk take part in celebrations on occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day on Monday

On Monday, August 24, President Petro Poroshenko, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman and Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk took part in the celebrations dedicated to Independence Day of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Speaker and the Prime Minister of Ukraine laid flowers at the monuments to Taras Shevchenko and Mykhailo Hrushevskyi.

Saint Sophia's Cathedral hosted a prayer service for Ukraine.
