Workgroup of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, Nature Resources Utilization and Elimination of the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe holds offsite meeting in town of Komsomolsk

Participants of the meeting visited the territory to be the site for the construction of the Bilanivskyi mining and enrichment plant, and also the Yerystivskyi open pit that belongs to the mining and enrichment plant.

The meeting participants also discussed the issue of possible impact of the planned construction on the environment as well as its influence on the socioeconomic development of the region.

The Secretariat of the Committee noted that the results of the offsite meeting of the workgroup would be analyzed and taken in account during the preparation of hearings in the Committee.
