Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt draft resolution "On revision of sets of foodstuffs, nonfood commodities and set of services for major social and demographic groups of population by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" (as to revision of content of consumer basket)

The draft resolution No. 2438 urges the Cabinet of Ministers to revise the sets of foodstuffs, nonfood commodities and services for the major social and demographic groups of the population approved in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 656 dated April 14, 2000 "On approval of the sets of foodstuffs, nonfood commodities and services for the major social and demographic groups of the population," taking in account real structure of consumption volumes by the population.

According to the Committee Secretariat, the Committee members supported the draft resolution and noted that its adoption would speed up the endorsement of new consumer basket contents and raise social standards for the population.
