Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis draft law "On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine "On state system of bio-security during creation, testing, transportation and use of genetically modified organisms"

The meeting of the Committee considered the draft law No. 1844 "On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine "On state system of bio-security during creation, testing, transportation and use of genetically modified organisms" (as to introduction of simplified procedure of registration of Europe-registered GMO and products containing them in Ukraine). The meeting also considered the draft law No. 2887 "On introduction of amendments into some Laws of Ukraine that regulate relations linked to reception of permits" and decided to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada adopt the draft law as a basis after its consideration in first reading. Chairperson of the Committee was elected a co-rapporteur on this issue at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
