"Ukraine is interested in expansion of the humanitarian aid for the residents of Donbas and migrants, whose number today exceeds 1.3 million," Head of Verkhovna Rada Committee on European Integration and President's Envoy for Peaceful Settlement of Donbas Conflict Iryna Heraschenko said at the meeting with representatives of international organizations in Ukraine and representatives of field-specific ministries and institutions, in particular, Security Service of Ukraine, State Border Service, State Fiscal Service, Health Ministry, Ministry of Social Policy, etc. Participants of the meeting discussed the necessity for improvement of the legislation on taxation of humanitarian and volunteer organizations and bringing this legislation in line with European standards. International organizations, in particular, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) pointed to having certain problems with supplies of humanitarian cargoes and reception of permits for their delivery.
