Verkhovna Rada Committee on Free Speech and Information Policy recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis and on the whole draft law "On reformation of state and municipal printed media organizations"

The draft law No. 1123 offers to rule that the reformation of printed media organizations is conducted in two stages: the first — during a year from the date of enactment of such law (if adopted); and the second — during the period of the next two years.

During the first stage, printed media organizations and editorships will be reformed in compliance with the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers under recommendations of the central executive body engaged in formation of state policy in the field of television and radio broadcasting, information and publishing sectors.

The second stage is dedicated to the reformation of printed media organizations and editorships not reformed during the first stage.
