Parliamentary expert seminar dedicated to exchange of experience in issues of International Criminal Court takes place under auspices of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations

"Ratification of the Rome Statute and Ukraine's joining the International Criminal Court is not a whim of some politicians or a political force, this is an obligation taken by our state, which signed the Rome Statute and ratified the Association Agreement with the European Union," Chairperson of the Committee Hryhorii Nemyria said.

He also noted that protracting settlement of this issue Ukraine deprives itself of existing international-legal means to protect from Russia's aggression.

Participants of the event were people's deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the International Criminal Court, members of the European Parliament, experts and members of the public.
