Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Environmental Policy, Environmental Management and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl NPP Disaster Mykola Tomenko has sent an address to Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk as to urgent resumption of state control in the fields of protection, use and recovery of natural resources and prevention from emergency situations.

The document stresses the decision to send the address was taken as the Committee receives considerable amount of appeals from citizens, local self-government bodies and non-government organizations as to mass downing of trees, land pollution, unauthorized organization of dump sites, etc.
