Verkhovna Rada Committee for Environmental Policy, Environmental Management and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl NPP Disaster recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis draft law "On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine "On drinking water and drinking water supplies" (as to improvement of some provisions)

The draft law No. 2772 aims to improve the Law of Ukraine in the field of drinking water supplies and water drainage, to regulate relations as to production, transportation and delivery of drinking water, water drainage, transportation and purification of waste water in order to guarantee provision of consumers with quality drinking water and centralized water drainage, as well as to prevent worsening of drinking waters in the sources of drinking water supplies through disposal of waste water by economic entities.

The draft law determines general requirements to waste water disposal to the sewage systems of population centers.
