Verkhovna Rada Committee for Environmental Policy, Environmental Management and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl NPP Disaster supports draft law "On introduction of amendments into Budget Code of Ukraine" (as to targeted channeling of funds from environment tax)

The draft law No. 2830 is aimed at resumption of specific terms of the budget law to ensure channeling of earnings from environment tax to special fund of the state and local budgets, in particular, to respective environmental protection funds in compliance with effective environmental protection law.

The committee supported the amendments into the Budget Code of Ukraine offered by the draft law:

— resumption of work of state and local environmental protection funds as special funds within state and local budgets;

— channeling of the funds from environment tax to the said special state and local environmental protection funds and their spending only for environmental protection needs.
