Verkhovna Rada Committee for Financial Policy and Banking Activity establishes workgroup to adapt draft law "On introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to development of institutional potential of National Bank of Ukraine)

The Secretariat of the Committee says the decision was taken at the meeting on June 4.

The draft law No. 2742 aims to create legal conditions for the National Bank of Ukraine to allow it, as the central bank, to fulfill its constitutional duties.

The draft law also aims to bring some provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On National Bank of Ukraine" in line with European practice and Ukraine's obligations to the International Monetary Fund.
