Verkhovna Rada adopts Law "On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine "On order of admission and conditions of stay of foreign armed forces in Ukraine"

The legislative act supplements the Law of Ukraine "On order of admission and conditions of stay of armed forces of foreign states on territory of Ukraine" with a number of provisions aimed at expansion of the list of legal grounds for stay of armed forces divisions of other states on the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, such a ground may be the deployment of an international peacekeeping mission of either the United Nations (UN) or the European Union on the territory of Ukraine on its request.

The Law envisions introduction of a ban on stay of armed forces of states engaged in armed aggression upon Ukraine.

Respective draft law was registered under No. 2953.
