Verkhovna Rada Committee for National Security and Defense recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt as a basis and on the whole draft law "On introduction of amendments into Law of Ukraine "On order of admission and conditions of stay of foreign armed forces in Ukraine"

Committee meeting participants noted that the draft law No. 2953 offers to supplement the Law of Ukraine "On order of admission and conditions of stay of armed forces of foreign states on territory of Ukraine" with a number of provisions aimed at expansion of the list of legal grounds for stay of armed forces divisions of other states on the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, such a ground may be the deployment of an international peacekeeping mission of either the United Nations (UN) or the European Union on the territory of Ukraine on its request.

The draft law also envisions introduction of a ban on stay of armed forces of states in war against Ukraine.
